Support the foundation by donating to the building fund.
The purpose of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation is to provide long-lasting support for Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes and to award additional funding to our residents for higher education.
Helping children in need is a worthy cause, and at Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation, that need doesn’t end after high school. Educating our children is a priority of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes.
Our programs are designed for more than just providing a place to live. For example, our residents are encouraged to pursue post-secondary education, whether it’s community college, trade school, or a four-year university program. We help them, guide them and ensure that all expenses are covered so that if they will do the work, they will graduate in the field of their choice debt free and this would not be possible without the dedicated support of our sheriffs and people like you!
How You Can Help
Here are a few ways in which you can help us!
What if it were possible to make a gift of “remarkable significance”? We’re talking about gifts that truly make a difference, that ensure a level of support that magnifies our ability to fulfill our mission and provides you with satisfaction and recognition to know you have helped many children.
Bequest
Including Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation in your will can be a simple way to provide future support of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes. A non-binding gift that can be changed, depending on your needs, and it does not impact your current finances.
Endowments
A cash or planned gift that will continue in perpetuity. Endowments build capacity for both present and future needs beyond what an annual campaign can accomplish to include higher education, campus programs, and capital improvements.
Charitable Gift Annuity
By donating cash or stock, you can receive a fixed payment from Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation for the rest of your lifetime. After you have passed away, the remainder of your gift will be used to support Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes and it’s residential care programs.
Life Insurance
Designate Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation as a beneficiary to receive a portion or an entire life insurance policy and receive current and future tax deductions.
Honoring Loved Ones
Contributing to a worthwhile cause can be a deeply satisfying way to make someone’s memory live on or to honor someone for a special occasion. Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation offers supporters the opportunity to honor friends and loved ones through Tribute Gifts. In addition to memorializing the passing of a loved one, we also offer a thoughtful way to honor someone special. Occasions to recognize those special people in your life include: birthday, anniversary, Christmas or get well. The process is simple, yet meaningful:
You contribute a gift in the name of a dear friend or loved one-deceased or living, in memory or in honor of a special event.
An attractive card is forwarded to the family or friend notifying them of your gift, but not the amount.
Acknowledgement and receipt are forwarded to you, and the honoree’s name is printed alongside yours in the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association’s publication, The Georgia Sheriff.
Please make your tax deductible Tribute contribution online, or complete and mail the printer-friendly donation form.
All contributions to the Foundation Tribute program are used to fund higher education for Youth Homes residents upon completion of high school.
